I've just "upgraded" to sky stream from Sky Q as we won't be able to use the satellite dish soon due to some building work where the dish is currently. For the most part I like it, but my wife is threatening to send it all back and cancel our contract with sky (we've only been with them for 17 years).
The reason, she can't access her playlists on sky go. Previously she used Sky Go a lot to watch recordings, and it was easy to find what she wanted as they were always there at the top of the recordings. Now if she wants to watch one of her shows she has to locate it, then remember which episode she is on, and then fast forward to the bit she was watching, unlike the old version where she had the option to simply "continue".
I've seen numerous posts about this going back sometime, so find it hard to believe that Sky has launched a product (2 years ago) and it it still missing key features like this.
We also had an "upgrade" to wifi max at the same time, and that also seems to be a half baked product, and missing key features. Sadly I suspect it will all be going back soon, and we'll end up having to look elsewhere (is Virgin any good these days?).

Well Sky Go is quite a legacy product and based on the satellite platform so personally i'm not surprised a lot of the features aren't compatiable with the new streaming platform. If Sky Go does have a long term future i'd imagine its purely as a way for customers to watch their subscription TV channels "on the go" ( i.e for what it was originally built for).
I do think remote management of the playlist is a key feature missing though, although this doesn't necessarily need a separate app for it, and and surely be plugged into a user's My Sky profile vis the My Sky app instead.

I disagree. MySky is surely the place to manage your Sky account, not watch tv. This is where SKy Go was so good, as it acted as an extension of the sky Q box (Sky Q on the go).
Sky Stream (and glass) clearly need their own companion app, whether that is an updated version of Sky Go, or their own dedicated app (Sky Stream and Go [maybe]). Especially now with all the streaming stuff in the cloud rather than held locally this should be even easier to achieve.
As it stands, it is simply a very large and obviously overlooked part of the package.

I didn't say the My Sky app should be used to view TV, i said it would make a sensible place to manage your playlist ( i/e add/rmove shows remotely).
The concept of "remotely watching" is different between the streaming platform and the satellite platform as the streaming platform would likely be a mixture of shows which you are watching across multiple apps ( e.g ITV X, iPlayer, Netflix etc), whereas the remote watching from Sky Q is more being able to watch and remove recordings directly from your Q hard drive.

Stream was launched three years ago (October 2021) alongside Glass. It became available as a standalone product a year later.
There's never been any public indication that Comcast sees Sky Go compatibility (as a legacy pre-acquisition sideline app) being part of the roadmap for their online hardware platform, and the elapsed time suggests it's certainly not a priority for them.
