Sky Go quits unexpectedly MAC

Hello,

My Sky Go app has stopped working. When I try to launch the app, it quickly disappears and the following error message appears 'Sky Go quit unexpectedly'. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my laptop etc. but this hasn't helped - can anyone help with this?

Re: Sky Go quits unexpectedly MAC

I was also getting this issue - Sky Go running on a Mac Studio with an M1 Max CPU running on Sonoma 14.6.1 which is the latest (non-beta) version of MacOS.

I ended up searching for the installer on the Sky Website and reinstalling the app to fix it.

Although I notice the app is *still* a legacy Intel binary (along with the helper and GPU process) and thus dependent on Rosetta2, rather than being native code for apple silicon. It's now the *only* legacy app I have running on my Mac - everything else being compiled for Apple.

(Be aware - Apple will likely retire support for Intel binaries realistically with MacOS 16 which will be September 2025)
