I've noticed for the last few days the Sky Go app on chromebook isn't working. Doesn't matter what the programme is, I get an error saying 'There was a problem playing this content, please try again. Error [4001]'.
Has anyone seen this or knows how to fix it please?

So I've now managed to get Skygo working now.
go into Chrome://flags and enabled:
Haredware-accelerated video decode
Haredware-accelerated video encode
WebRTC hardware video encoding
WebRTC hardware video decoding
restart laptop

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

I'm also seeing the 4001 error when I try to play any content using Sky Go on my Chromebook, tried to reinstall but with no effect.

I'm certain that this is something that's happened as a result of the latest upgrade. I was taken through a dialogue to set up my favourite categories on my home page, then nothing I select will play, even recordings on my connected Sky Q box.
They sent me some instructions to fix it, but this was for Windows and Apple devices and involved turning off vpns and ad-blockers, which made no difference at all.

Sky Go starts up as normal on my Chromebook but every time I try to watch something either a live programme or recorded I get the error code 4001.

I am still having this issue. I did appear to have this working again Sunday last week 29th October, however, a new update was released for Sky go and now this error has returned. Is there any update?

I now cannot watch anything on Skygo on my Asus Chromebook
