I have been using Sky Go for years on my MacBook Air and yesterday it had disappeared from the taskbar. Tried to restore using App Store but it's not there. I've rebooted Mac but no change.

I've contacted Apple and there is a problem with Sky Go so has been removed from Apps until fixed.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDo you have the minimum version?
If you’re installing Sky Go on an Apple Mac with Apple silicon, you’ll need to install Rosetta too (if you haven’t already) for Sky Go to work. After that, it’ll be available for any other apps that need it too.

Thanks for replying, my MacBook only two years old and running OS15 so has all necessary capacity. As I said it's been running for years and why has Sky Go disappeared from App Store?

Hello, I've now racked up over 6 hours of being on the phone to sky trying to get access to my recordings on sky go on mac. Some 'app expert' categorically told me to 'reactivate sky go' on Q box settings which I have done. Still can't find the box. Apparently it has been 'escalated' which I translate as - we can't fix it, we don't know how, but hey, let's pretend to give you some hope in the matter. Every, single, time I have contacted them, it has taken around 15minutes to repeat the same information, over and over again even thought they say that they have 'apparently' taken notes about the issue. I thought it was the 21st century but hey, I could be mistaken. Sigh, and more sigh.
