I am a Sky Q (with Multi Screen) user - and been designated a Sky VIP customer.
I have an annoying issue when using Sky Go (NOT AT HOME - so not directectly connected to my Sky Q box). On Sky Go on my Macbook, if I search for a series that I am following, I get a list of the episodes that are available but there are two different statuses of some of the episodes when I hover over them:
One set are marked witht a Play symbol and work fine if I select and play them.
Some of the episodes are marked with a Down Arrow which when selected only offers two sub options.... to download to my Sky Box in SD or HD.
Remeber that I am away from home so my Sky Go App can not find and conect to my Sky Q box.
If I select one of these dowload options, it claims to send a download request to my Sky Q Box but nothing ever happens and the episode required never changes status to being able to be played.
Any ideas?

Here is the response that I recieved from the Sky Customer Relations Team:
"We are aware of an issue affecting These episodes of The Curse of Oak Island on Sky Go.
The good news is our support team is aware and the issue should be resolved shortly".
So thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

What should happen is if you select an option like that you should be able to remote download to your Sky Q box at home. It will not change to play as it is a download to box only title.

Thank you for your reply caesarome.
I am not sure how this helps me? I am trying to play on Sky Go, episodes that have been transmitted to air and should be playable via Sky Go (NOT AT HOME) but for some reason do not have the Play option? It's not even limited to the most recent episode.

Sometimes you will find that for unknown reasons all the episodes are not available so can only be downloaded to a Sky box. What you could do when you find episodes like this is to email Sky's Viewer Relations team and let them know, this is their email address - viewerR@sky.uk

A quick update to say that as of the 28th May, the missing episodes are still unplayable 🙁

I am having the same issue. I have never seen any sort of resolution to this on the forum though. Just that "for some unknown reason" this happens and "contact Sky".
So, is this just another example of a perpetual error that Sky have not fixed?
