Sky Go PFE 4002 crash on Windows 11 Pro 25H2

Sky Go worked normally on my Lenovo laptop in July, but stopped working after subsequent Windows updates.

I’m running the latest Sky Go version, 26.2.3.0, on Windows 11 Pro 25H2, build 26200.9168.

Sky Go opens, shows the update screen and cookie-preferences screen, then crashes a few seconds after selecting my cookie options with PFE 4002.

I also tested a new Windows user profile. Sky Go initially worked, but crashed when I tried to play a programme. After that, the same PFE 4002 problem occurred.

I’ve tried:

● Full uninstall/reinstall using Revo Uninstaller

● Removing remaining Sky/Sky Go/Cisco folders from AppData

● Running as administrator and trying compatibility settings

● Removing McAfee

● Checking Windows Defender Firewall

● Rebooting between attempts

● Testing with a new Windows user profile

● Trying Hyper-V/virtual machine-related settings

● Running DISM /RestoreHealth

● Running SFC /scannow — it found and repaired some corrupted Windows files, but Sky Go still crashes afterwards

Event Viewer consistently shows:

Faulting application: Sky Go.exe 26.2.3.0
Faulting module: Sky Go.exe 26.2.3.0
Exception code: 0xc0000409
Fault offset: 0x037e7719

At this point Sky Go is unusable on this laptop.

As it worked normally in July and stopped following subsequent Windows updates, could this be a compatibility issue between Sky Go 26.2.3.0 and the newer Windows 11 Pro 25H2 builds?

Has anyone found a workaround?
