@nigea99   Are able to uninstall it? Wndows Update -> update history.  Go the bottom of the screen and select "uninstall updates".

hi @RFS123

Thanks for that.

It went through the motions but seems to have managed to re-install it - I didn't pause updates etc

Maybe I will have another try sometime but not just yet

Re: Sky Go Error

@microcat36 ...... if the Sky Technician (possibly trying to get rid of me) hadn't advised me to contact Microsoft, then I'd agree with you (despite me telling the Sky Technician that M$ said Sky should be able to resolve it).....after all, the cause may be M$, however, the only problem we all appear to have IS WITH A SKY PRODUCT,  and we are all paying Sky.

I also find it interesting how 'Superusers' appear to give, what seems internal information/advice. Someone may think they are giving 'advice' without Sky having to take responsibility.....

......both points above relate, or suggest a lack of responsibility on Sky's part.

How many of us got a definitive....we are looking into the problem and will contact you back in (a dedicated number of) days?'

Re: Sky Go Error

They advised you to contact MS because it is their problem and their update has caused a problem with a sky product so not their fault.

I will call out sky when an update from sky go causes problems for their customers, but when it's a Microsoft problem causing the the problem, it's Microsofts fault.

Microsoft unfortunately caused your problems with your Windows installation, not Sky I'm afraid.

Re: Sky Go Error

Another company are reporting the same problem with their product - Starmoney.  Below is a screenshot of their error codes.  I tried to post this in a text format but was told it contained a 10-diigt number that was not allowed..

hi @IMcI

I have moved your post onto the main discussion regarding this problem.

If you read through some of th emore recent posts there are some suggestions regarding uninstalling a recent Windows update, which might work for you

Re: Sky Go Error

I tried a repair install which ran right through then failed and rolled back. I can live without Sky Go until Sky and/or MS sort it out.
