I can add my voice as another sufferer of this problem
macOS version: Monterey 12.7.1 (Limited by hardware)
Sky Go Version 23.5.1 (App deleted, trash emptied and recyle bin emptied before redownload/install)
I have also searched (low-level search) for the file "SKY_GB-SKY_QGO" as referenced by Windows users - and this does NOT exist.
Hang occurs on blue Sky Go splash screen after "Checking for update" occurs

I have had the same issue for probably 2 years now... have tried everything and essentially given up with the app on my mac... just doesn't work
