Remote record not working with Sky Go App

Whenever I try to record any program from my Sky Go app (Android) I instantly get the error message "Remote record request failed. please try again later".  Any ideas?

I take it you are a Sky Q customer, if so via the MkySky app is the correct viewing card number shown ?

Yes the viewing card number is correct.

It worked fine until recently and I have not changed anything.

Does it fail on both Wifi and mobile data ?

Yes, fails on WiFi and mobile data.

To see if they can help you with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you tomorrow morning regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. 


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear you will have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. To start the conversation just type in it.

Correction, the error message from Sky Go app is "Something went wrong. Record request not sent  please try again."

I am seeing the same issue, Android tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab A), have previously been able to send requests to record programmes from the Sky Go app to my Sky Q box but no longer. I don't have multiscreen so was never able to watch recorded programmes on my tablet but found the ability to set up recordings from the tablet invaluable.

Same issue.  Nothing changed, everything checked, was working fine until couple days ago.

I can watch via Sky Go but can't record.

How can I be included in the solution please?

Nothing suggested on the chat or when I spoke to an advisor has helped, I still have the issue as do others.  Please can someone escalate this to the Tech Support team to look into properly, this is not solveable by the end user!
