Is it possible  to ask what mobile device people are using as I have this problem on my samsung S10 phone but no problem on my newer Samsung tablet.

@sandranelson642 I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A with Android 11 and that suddenly stopped being able to send record requests several weeks ago.

I continues to work with my galaxy tabA9+  android version 16 

am beginning to think it might be my phone !!!! That is Android 12

I read somewhere about updating to Android Version 14, but I can't with my A12 so am stuck with V13.
I thought this might be the solution but didn't want to mention it in case Sky said oh well that's obviously
the issue, nothing to do with us!

Anyone else with Android 14 who still has the problem?
Or is everyone here like me, on a lower version?

See my post 75 from 12th May when I said that it works on Android 14 but not 13.

Sky are fully well aware of the problem and the cause but seem to have no intention of fixing it.  All of these posts are a waste of time.

Further, until recently it worked fine on Android 12, 13 therefore it's nothing to do with the phone, it's some setting that has been changed at Sky's side.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 with Android 13 and remote record doesn't work.  I have a tablet with Android 15 and it works perfectly.  Surely that can't be difficult for Sky to fix.  I always have my phone with me, but my tablet usually stays at home.  I need remote record to work on my phone.  I will call Sky support to raise it with them.

I have had this issue for weeks too. In took my android Samsung A50 phone to a friend's house who has Sky Q system. I was able to log onto her Sky Q via Sky Go and set up several recording.s.  No problem. But when I try to do it on my Sky Q system at home I get the same old result saying cannot record etc. Etc. Please try later. I can load Sky Go on my home PC and set up recordings, again with no problems.

No idea where the problem is and when Sky may fix this issue!!

I've still got the old Sky+ HD box and it's old app on my phone. This still works perfectly in sending remote recording requests !

 

So much for the progress of Sky Q and Sky Go... the latter being a poor replacement for the Sky+ app !!

My Sky+ app worked perfectly until 3 or 4 weeks ago.  Sky have clearly done something to stop it from working.  A backward step.   What are they up to?

It would be nice if someone at Sky would have the courtesy to inform all of us just what is going on; whether they are looking into fixing it and an anticipated timescale for resolution.  Is that too much to ask?

Couldn't agree more!  Sky appear to be completely ignoring the issue.  Makes me wonder why I pay them the best part of £100 a month.

My wife has just replaced her phone with a Samsung Galaxy A26 5G with Android 16 on it and sending remote record requests from Sky Go works. That might come in handy when we go on holiday if there are any programmes we want to record. I would still like a fix for it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A running Android 11 though!
