@Thomp

BBC channels only appear in Sky Go when the Go device is on the same local network as a Sky Q satellite television box.

In all other circumstances the BBC insists that viewers use the iPlayer app.

Re: No bbc2 channel and others

This is the same for me when using the same WiFi network that my sky stream is connected to, so I can only presume that BBC would rather that Sky do not allow direct streams from Sky Go for sky stream.

You'll need to use the direct stream in iPlayer for those channels instead if your using sky glass/stream.

Perhaps it will change when the new Sky Go app is released later this year.

Glass and Stream customers have never had BBC channels in Sky Go.

For Sky Q subscribers those channels are arriving over the satellite dish and retransmitted to the Go app host device by the main Q box (which reserves a couple of tuners for this purpose)

I think that's unlikely: the BBC wants viewing in iPlayer to justify the substantial chunk of Licence Fee revenue required to support it.

Re: No bbc2 channel and others

Did anyone get the missing channels problem resolved?

My Sky Go app (Windows 11PC) has lost BBC1, BBC2, ITV 1, this happened a couple of weeks ago.

The channels are available on the Sky Q channel planner. Both the Q Box and PC are on the same wired home network.

I have rebooted the Q box a couple of times but still no change!

@Johndoe1944

This is a discussion about Sky Go so can you explain a bit more what is happening and on what it this happening, so Sky Q, Glass or Stream ?
