Log out all users

Hi, I am looking to log out all users on all sky gos. I have went to manage devices and deleted and then changed password but I can still get in on my sky gos which means other users can. I want to log all out? What am I missing thanks

As you have changed your password then go to this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage


If you tick "Sky Apps" and then the remove button, then anyone using SkyGo or SkyNews or SkySports apps etc. using your credentials will have the previous auth token removed and will be forced to sign in again (using the new password only you know). Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off!

Hi 

 

thanks for reply I followed that and in ticked but I am still logged in through my iPad and so is my husband it doesn't seem to work. I feel I am doing something wrong or missing something

If you have done it correctly then it should log you out soon enough as it doesn't always happen straight away.

Why doesn't the link work for you as it does for me as you do need to access it to be able to log other users out.

Ok so the link now works, but it hasn't forced the other user out, I want them to try and log back in but not be able to as I've changed my password. Basically I have a cheeky teenager who can log in and remove the device settings that we keep putting in place!! I need to force them out!

Have you followed this step by step:

 

First change your password:

https://skyid.sky.com/resetpassword/


Then go to this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/authorise/manage

Will mean people you want to use your ID will need to do the same, but will force whoever is using your previous details off. This might not happen straight away but should do soon enough.

Yes i changed my password, then used the link and did exactly that. It hasn't worked, we've tested it and my husband who was also logged in previously to MySky is still logged in and hasn't been forced to enter the new password, I'm stumped!

If you have done this correctly and ticked all the boxes against apps on the link I posted yesterday and changed your password then it should work so perhaps you need to give it more time.

Thanks, I gave up and called sky in the end. They've advised that there is no way to do what I'm asking either via the app or website. Sky does not have the function to log out other users and prompt them to reenter a password, hence it's not worked for us. All we can do is access her device and log her out manually, not very 21st century!!

They are incorrect as this is a procedure that usually works and has done for many users that have done it via here over the years which is why they even have an online article explaining how to do it:
