I only used Sky Go to remotely set recordings on my Q box and never used it to watch anything.
I have now changed to "Stream" so to me Sky Go is now pointless.

Yes I totally understand why you did. I had stream and found no use for Sky Go either as the live channel lists didnt match and the playlist functionality was missing. I'm now back on Sky Q and use Sky Go mostly on the iPad or iPhone and it works really well. It's really a companion app for Sky Q.
What we really need is a Sky Stream App (in my case for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV) which matches the functionality of the pucks. Thats the only way they could tempt me back to Sky Stream (well unless they scrap the dish and I would probably go for Now instead)
