I am unable to view my recordings on my iPad as it won’t find my sky q box

When I try to search for my recordings via the sky go app on my iPad, the iPad says it is unable to find any Sky Q box.

so points to note, yes I am connected to the same network as my sky Q box. My sky q box is switched on. 
Sky go iPad settings does allow me to connect to networks. 
Sky go app is up to date. But no matter what I try, my sky go app on my  iPad just won't connect to my sky box. I can still watch some of the live channels, box sets and on demand. But not my recordings.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Do you have a multiscreen subscription on your account, if you do have you tried a reboot of both your iPad and your Sky Q box ?

@caesarome Yes I have multi-screen.

i have also rebooted both IPad and sky q box.

I've even deleted the sky go app and reinstalled it. No joy

Hi, I was having the same problem but I remembered that I was using VPN. When I turned it off it solved it found the sky q box again.

@king+samoo thanks, yes I did turn off my vpn also.
I did install a new internet extender for when I'm upstairs. But it is a Tp Link one and is compatible with the tp li k router. So no different connection name or anything.

and even when downstairs next to the router it doesn't connect to sky q box ☹️

Hi,  I'm having the same problem as Gillby, there was a recordings tab at the bottom right of the App screen.

When selected the iPad would search for the Q box but never find it!

After deleting and reinstalling Sky Go the recordings tab is not there anymore!

This is really annoying me now, please help?

I deleted my sky q app then put on a new app recorded a program and it worked I got my recordings back
