F1 Massive Frustration
I've watched F1 for 20 years, now seriously thinking of quitting F1 because of how bad the Sky service is.
Missed the Barcelona quali. So tried to watch on catch up, but not available. Tried to watch on repeat this morning, but not available. Finally find it in the Sky Go app about 20 hours after initial broadcast. This is a frequent issue that on demand is so late to be available -- like Sky is still in the 1990s.
Then go to watch it, and immediately shown the result in the title of the highlights. So that's spoiled it. And then try to watch on Sky Go and it says it isn't available, even though it's listed and you can click on it.
**bleep**. Unless you watch live, the Sky experience is absolutely awful. So much is great such as the quality of coverage and presenters. But the technical quality and policies are dreadful. I'm don't think anyone from Liberty Media has ever seen how poor it is in the UK, because there is no competition. And if they did know that seasoned F1 fans are being turned off, I wonder if they would have extended the licence so far into the future.
You mention these issues to the phoneline, and it's just, oh well we'll let someone know. They do not care.

For a guaranteed one billion pounds (£200 million per season) I imagine they were happy to take the money.

Completely agree, these same issues I have are so frustrating. Was so much easier when you could record it and watch when you wanted!

Couldn't agree more. Frequent issues accessing coverage, particularly if I try to start watching while something is currently broadcast live. More often than not the results get spoiled before I get to watch them.
I found the qualifying is often hidden under the title of whatever was broadcast before. So, for example, go look under 'free practice 3' and you find qualifying under their.
Anyone else come across the bug where you pause a live stream then can't restart it? It just keeps going back to pause after a couple of frames. You have to exit the stream and start again. But if the stream finished while you were paused, then bad luck.
All this results in an atrocious user experience. Definitely looking at quitting soon.

I feel the same but what are the alternatives. If you know of any please let me know. Last thing they need to be doing is buying ITV they can't run Sky.

'Sky' operates reasonably well, but streaming access to Sports undoubtedly has issues and Sky Go in particular is long overdue for replacement.

Yes, I've had the pause thing happen. You pause and then cannot play as it keeps pausing, so you have to come out of the program and start again. I did conplain and was told it was a problem at my home between glass tv and hub (it's about 2 meters away directly opposite). I have sky glass, sky broadband and fibre optic. They then said I need WiFi Max!!!! I have signed up for this at a very good discounted rate and will see if this makes any difference. Overall experience with Sky Glass is average to disappointing. Good luck if you speak to Stacey in the Resolution team - she has no empathy, doesn't appreciate customer service and managed to create more issues than she resolved.
