Error on sky go; PFE VGC - NOT-ACTIVATED

Hello

I have seen this question asked a couple of times but no resolution

After waiting for sky to install my internet for 6 weeks (and still having none after being told it would be installed in 1)  I've been using SkyGo on me laptop, until today when it has decided to show advents then show the error code

PFE VGC - NOT-ACTIVATED

using a Mac Book Pro

Anyone have any ideas?

I had opened before connecting to the internet.

I closed down and reopened whilst connected

and tada, it worked

So there is something for the 

turn it off

and on again theory 

Make sure the computer is connected first so that it can do any updates... I even didn't have to watch the Apple health app advert again::. 6 times is plenty about Hilary walking 252 steps

Thanks that worked.  Turn off turn on again us like the magic sponge on the football I am trying to watch. 😄
