Error Code PFE:9012

I hope someone can help please. I live in the UK and have a MacBook Pro with an 1.4Ghz Quad-Core Intal Core i5 processor. I pay for Sky Go Extra. The Sky Sports app works well, but since day one (years ago), I can't get Sky Go to work.

 

Firstly, through the Apple App website, I'm told that my computer is incompatible; it says the same thing about Sky Sports, even though I already have this app and it's working fine.

 

If I go through the Sky Go Installer route, I can open the app, but when I try to watch a live tv program I get the PFE:9012 error code and trying to download a program always fails.

 

By the way, Sky Go works fine on my iPhone and iPad. Can anyone help please? I am not a computer guru, so please spell out the solution!

It might be worth removing then installing the app again:

 

To uninstall Sky Go
Launch Finder, click Downloads then delete ‘SkyGoInstaller’.
Launch Finder again, click Go (at the top of the screen) then Computer.
Click Macintosh HD.
Go to Users > [yourusername] > Applications then delete the Sky Go app.

 

Now reboot your Mac before nstallung the Sky Go a again.

Thank you caesarone for you quick and clear reply. Unfortunately, it didn't make any difference; I deleted all three SkyInstallers which were in Downloads from various attempts.

Do you have any other ideas please?
