Connection to Sky Q box

My sky go app only connects to my sky a box when I am in the same room.

in other rooms in my home the app cannot find sky q box.

internet throughout the house is boosted and very good (speeds in excess of 250mb all over the house)

it won't even connect when I am in the same room as the sky mini box.

Done all of the resets etc of router boxes. Done the updates of software.

i am using Vodafone fibre as internet provider

If that's being done by hardware which uses wireless client device separation then communication between the main Q box and the Go app may be blocked.

Thanks for the response but although I am reasonably tech savvy, I have no real idea what this means and also how to fix it
