I have had similar problem on the same machine (12.7.6) only in the last 2-3 weeks, Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help, but used Google Chrome as my browser for the Sky sports app and it worked fine. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
Thanks Rob. Tried Chrome, but still didn't work. However, found previous suggestion (opening 'Go' in finder and emtying the sky go library and re-installing) and now it's working! It's a pity none of the people in 'customer support' at Sky seem to know about this fix.
I'm running Sequoia 15.7.1. These Go/deleted fixes business hasnt worked for me. I can delete all the files but the icon still appears in my Launchpad and the SkyGo icon appears in dock and the disappears.
Is it because I'm ahead in updates. The installer puts it in my Users\Martyn\Application rather than my main applications. Is that the issue? Although if I move it, same issue.
Same here. It just keeps downloading, no prompt for Rosetta 2 nor does right clicking allow me to download or open Sky Go. I purchased this Mac M4 and its ridiculous that I can't access things like Sky Go. Ive been a Sky customer for 19 years, pay out of my pocket and can't even access Sky Go. Cheated and disappointed is an understatement. I cannot fathom the technical jargon either.
I had this problem with a new Macbook Neo and the Rosetta suggestion worked perfectly. I downloaded the installer file from the Sky Go website, right clicked on it in Finder / Downloads, selected Open with Rosetta. It was a bit slow to download but then perfect. My existing Sky password didn't work (probably obvious) but selected log in with a one-time code, and then set the password. Works a treat. Sky would want to get their act together regarding an Apple Silicon compatible app. The Apple community chat on this is really helpful.
