subtitle removal on recordings

I ave been trying to remove subtitles from our recorded programs. I have followed both solutions to no avail

You're not really recording programmes on Sky Glass - everything is streamed from servers and playlisted content can play back from a variety of app sources, each with different subtitles rules. 

Are there any particular programmes you are having difficulty removing subtitles from?

Turning off the subtitles will depend how the "recording" is being played back. There will one method of turning it off if the playback is via a cloud recording or Sky's on-demand catalog, and completely different ways if the playback is via a third party app ( as each app will have its own mechanism for subtitles).

Which programmes are you having the problem with?

From a previous thread:

Press up, or down, or play, or pause when you are watching a progamme on ITVX. You will get the timeline near the bottom, plus below that in the bottom right the subtitle button.

Subtitles on ITVx are turned on/off using the Sky remote select button when watching an ITVx programme.

Click either the top or bottom of the Sky remote select button, scroll down and across to subtitles on/off button.

You can also use the Sky remote pause button or middle of the select button (hide advert if it appears), scroll down and across to subtitles on/off button.
