Voice commands

So I have a 4 yr old monster who loves hiding remotes, we have 2, we now have none. Thought I'd use the voice command to find the remote but since cancelling sky and just paying for the tv now, it seems like it doesn't work anymore. Checked and connected to internet, checked tv and updated and rebooted tv etc, mic is on pressing the side button but voice commands are a complete goner. I have the remote on my app but any way to make these remotes beep without a subscription to have a voice command?

Have you tried the remote app.

The Sky Remote app lets you control Sky Glass and Sky Stream from your phone or tablet

I believe that's a Sky Q feature anyway.
