@shez19791 There is no direct upgrade path for a Glass TV, if you would like a Glass Gen 2 or Glass Air then you would need to purchase it, however your Sky Glass Gen 1 is owned by you and yours to keep to do whatever you want with.
You are free to purchase additional Glass TVs whenever you want, your minimum term subscription contract doesn't matter. However if you want to keep your existing Glass, and also use another one at the same time you would also need to add Whole Home to your account, if you don't have it already.

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
The trade-in upgrade route between releases ('just like with Sky Mobile ') which was pitched during the original Glass launch in October 2021 never materialised: frankly it was always going to be logistically impractical.
You can sell the Gen 1 if you wish, but realistically they don't command (or deserve) pricing anything like the purchase cost.

@shez19791 As I understand your post, you have
(1) an interest free loan for payment of the Glass. Even if the loan is not cleared you are free to do whatever you want with the Glass eg recycle, gift it, etc.
(2) your Sky TV viewing contract.
While Sky will not part exchange your current Glass, you are at liberty to upgrade to Gen 2 or to any other smart TV of your choosing.
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £33 pm
2 x FTTP lines: Digi £15 pm 900/900 & Aquiss £36pm 80/20
Connected in dual WAN to 3 x Asus XT9 mesh & 2 x Asus RT-AC58U
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
6 other streaming TVs

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
They make it really difficult to the point I've just kept my glass 1 for the moment.
You can order a 2 but online even through your own account you need to add a pack. It doesn't recognise you already have one and you just want to upgrade your TV.

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
Just go on to the My Sky app and order the TV you want it is quite straight forward to do. If you are having issues give Sky a call. You're not upgrading in a mobile sense just buying a new TV.

Correct, you will need to add Whole Home to your account to get a additional Sky Glass TV, as without Whole Home you can only have 1 Glass TV or 1 Sky Stream puck on your account.
Therefore if the Gen 2 is a replacement for the Gen 1, you add Whole Home for one month, order the new Glass TV, then once its delivered set it up, set it as your priamry device on your Sky account and then cancel Whole Home, which would cancel the subscription on the non-primary device ( i.e your old Glass TV).

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
Not quite. You have an existing package and when you want to change the TV even if you have whole house then it asks you to add a package with it. Makes no sense as an existing customer.
Would be very easy for them to add a journey to add a Glass 2 and retain existing package but they haven't.

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
I don't understand that I e had a gen2 for several months with wholehome and 2 pucks, wanted an air for the kitchen so went onto my sky and placed the order was just a few clicks, there was no issue with another package required. That said I did pay outright not on finance if that makes a difference 🤷♂️

Re: Upgrade sky glass device
Yes but you can't order a glass 2 that way if you currently have a glass 1. That's the problem.
