Thomson Streaming Box 270M

I have recently purchased a Thomson Streaming Box 270M as I realise that apart from Sky Atlantic all the programs I view via Sky Glass are not Sky programs so can be accessed by other means at some considerable financial saving.

The Thomson has good reviews and works fine the only negative is that it doesn't seem able to control the Sky Glass TV volume.

Anyone got any ideas as to whether this can be achieved and if so how?

Hi @Ivatt1940 I don't have a Thomson 270 box but have seen many good reviews of them and have watched a few YouTube videos as I might consider getting one after Christmas.

From the videos I have seen, the remote is setup for your TV during the setup procedure but don't know if there is a Sky option in the manufacturer listings.  If it is but doesn't work or if it is not included have you tried other manufacture such a Philips, LG Samsung etc. 

I may be wrong but seem to remember seeing somewhere that Phillips TVs might work so maybe try that first.

It's a very good Android streaming box - very versatile and excellent value. 
Check in the device settings that you have CEC control turned on - this may help with the volume, as long as it can recognise the Glass TV as a device.
