Please help.
While watching any channel on my Sky Glass, the subtitles randomly turn themselves on.
I have checked all avenues of settings and they are all OFF.
Only way to turn themselves off, until it turns back on again, is to press the 3 dots on the remote, turn the subtitles on, then back off again.
Its very annoying having to do that all the time.

Re: Subtitles wont turn off
I have the same problem with Sky Glass and it's on any channel, not just iplayer or ITVX or any ither streaming service! It happens with live TV also or on Sky Sports! It doesn't happen all the time, I could be watching a live broadcast of the darts for instance and all of a sudden subtitles will start coming up on the screen and they are not in sync with the audio! Subtitles are switched off in the settings and the only way to stop the subtitles is to change channel and then change back

Re: Sky gen 2 tv
Our sky glass TV keeps turning on sub titles whilst on sky sports darts channel. it's always during the adverts and there is usually a glitch in the advert like a brief pause. we just switch up a channel and back to cure it. bit annoying tho.

Re: Subtitles turning themselves on
Our Glass tv is also randomly putting on subtitles. Checked in settings and they are turned off. Looks like another glitch Sky needs to sort out.

Random unwanted subtitles
We've only had sky glass for just over a month and it has started to randomly turn on subtitles on it's own. It could be on any channel, streaming or live. The tv blinks black and then the subtitles are there without us touching anything.
When I check settings - subtitles are off.
They only go when we either toggles subtitles on and off again, switch channels or turn the tv off and on again.
Looking at other threads, this is a common issue. We have never used subtitles, never needed them.
Has Sky decided if this is a bug that needs fixing yet? As it's very annoying!

Re: Random unwanted subtitles
@heathernadin first check that the relevant Accessibility settings are set to off. Sky's own programming controls subtitles using the options button (marked ...) but other broadcasters apps dont necessarily use the same controls for example on the BBC's iPlayer press down twice while watching gives you an option to toggle subtitles on or off.

Re: Random unwanted subtitles
Yeah I've seen the other threads.
Defo had everying turned off.
It'll just come on randomly in the middle of a programme.
