Sky Glass Gen 1 - no channels, progs

Since yesterday afternoon 02/07/25, I have been unable to watch any channels or programmes on my 18 month old Sky Glass. Sky Broadband is working through my Sky Mobile account, which includes smartphone, tablet and printer, plus all relevant apps. Yesterday various Sky Sports Channels displayed the message about not being contracted to them, which I have been for approx 34 years! However that message is not visible today. Any selected channel displays Technical Fault message. I need it cured ASAP please. The British GP is this weekend!!

Have you rebooted the TV?

Have you checked the actual broadband speed it is receiving? To do this, open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check. What speed is reported?

I went to Netflix, download speed 55.6mbps. A bit lower than usual and what I  am paying for, 65mbps.

But Netflix was working, so went further along Apps and discovered that both  Prime and BBC iPlayer are working, but stubbornly all Sky channels are NOT working.

I have twice rebooted - before testing download speed on Netflix and then after it to try to nudge the speed up, but no joy.

@simples99 The Sky Sports issue yesterday affected quite a few people. A message was posted that unplugging for 30 seconds and restarting would solve it. 

 

For your issue today, I think you need to ring Sky to try and resolve it.
