Re: Quality

Hi @Goodfellow1

You will need to provide more information for the community to help. What content are you talking about? Do you subscribe to UHD? Is it on demand etc? Specific apps? What is your broadband speed? Etc..

Sky use adaptive bitrate technology so this may have some bearing on your experience if your connection or broadband is poor quality. But I definitely have not seen any degradation of quality on my 2 glass units or streaming pucks.

Please elaborate and we will do our best to assist.

Please Note: I am not a Sky employee. I am a fellow subscriber. Please do not PM me as they will not be responded to. Posting publicly to a thread increases the usefulness for all.

Re: Quality

It's nothing to do with a broadband speed.  I have at least 450mb It's to do with the ultra HD being removed to HD, why should we pay extra to sky

when sky doesn't perform this service the film makers do. It another scam from sky.

Re: Quality

@Goodfellow1 if you cancel UHD you can often get it again for free for a couple of months via the My Sky app. That's what I do. Not paid for UHD in all the time I've had a Glass TV - both generations.

Re: Quality

I am been formed by sky that the Puck cannot handle ultra HD TV. Also, it cannot handle other problems fast-forwarding at 30 times this also makes the puck need to be reset.

This information is just not correct, with the UHD and AD Skipping functionality actioned the Puck does cover both. Yes the Puck can be frit but you were misinformed.

Re: Quality

Well I have had so many excuses from sky as to why there puck keeps going on fritz as you put it And 4 pucks later nothing surprises me, anyway my service by sky tv and broadband is unacceptable so I am leaving.

You're right if there are constant issues you have to throw in the towel and look at alternatives. I also have one foot in the leave camp ' for a second time' and just waiting on a callback from Sky to discuss.

I can highly recommend Apple TV and Now with TV Launcher.

Re: Quality

You Are absolutely right? But just remember, if you use your TV apps which you don't pay for in most cases, it's all free. It's just as good, and you don't have problems with sky equipment also you can use the Now tv app, at much cheaper than sky.
