PS4 cuts out

My ps4 when playing it cuts out after about ten minutes bring a screen up saying going into setting and change to hdmi 3 but it's already on that setting. 
we only bought sky glass so we didn't need loads hdmi cable connected into a tele.

Have you tried a different hdmi cable ? PS3s are quite old now .....

It's a PS4 though 🤨 which is also aging when you consider the PS5's been out for over four years now to be fair.

That said it's worth a shot trying another HDMI cable I suppose but I can't imagine the console's age playing any part in actual cable compatibility.

From my understanding HDMI 2.1 cables will still work with older devices, whilst if you've only got a legacy HDMI cable that's what the two previous generations of consoles came supplied with anyway.

May also be worth checking the display options on your ps4 and trying another setting

also worth checking if the console is working ok on another tv
