Anybody else have issues with news channels, mine never load and probably never will. Done all the usual off on power router get up the pole connect new fibre blah blah blah and still nothing 🤔

I'd switch to my Apple TV but the HDMI refuses to work too 😟

Less than a month to go 😊

Hi @Anonymous After reading your post I have just checked my news channels and whilst they were a little slow to open they did all work (I have a puck and not Glass).

Having read your previous posts it is clear you have been experiencing numerous issues lately and I'm wondering if your Glass has not developed a fault of some kind.  With your previous experience you would certainly know more about that than and suspect you have already considered that possibility.

Its a hopeless situation, first time around new product bug riddled but now this thing should be all singing n dancing but every day issues.

I documented all issues from day one and emailed Sky finally after 6 or more people they relented it's going back. Twice burnt so......

I'm looking at OLED alternatives, Samsung have some great offers buying direct and I'm off to John Lewis to see in the flesh alongside LG and possibly Sony.

I looked at Now and have signed up to Entertainment, Cinema, Ultraboost AD free multi login for £7.99. Sport was £28 so added to basket but not completed as an offer will come.

So back to solid ole Apple 😊

Hi @Anonymous You are correct that issues should have been resolved by now, particularly some of the long running ones.  I was a fairly early adopter of Sky Q and remember initially having problems but these were ironed out by Sky fairly quickly.  Maybe the difficulty is broadband is less stable than satellite broadcasting.

When I sold my Glass TV in December 2023 I purchased an OLED Samsung S90C TV and a HW-Q66C soundbar (probably both superseded now). I then added a stream puck and have been very happy with this setup and my decision.

Maybe if there is a next time give the puck a try but cancel within the cooling off period if you are still finding problems.

Good luck

Im quite looking forward to scouting out a new OLED but will return to Apple it's just stable and works OK the odd niggle but nothing like Sky. Apple also has a new Apple TV coming out in April with Dolby 2 and the new chip which is lightening fast plus the Apple eco system is so cohesive to keep your Apple TV up to date with your iphone. Sky can't even get Sky Go coordinated 🙄.

For me Sky have already run out of steam and limping along with below par software.  Oh well.
