Muffled sound and lines on picture

The sound on my TV keeps going muffled. And I keep getting lines on the screen. When I go on service checker, it says there are no problems. Anyone else experienced this and what did you do to resolve this?

Hi @Elliep 

 

They could be related to poor connectivity or completely separate issues. The service checker is checking for issues with broadband and to see if glass is online and isn't really useful for issues such as this 

 

Usually for lines down the screen the wisdom is to power it off at the mains for 5 to 10 minutes.

 

I would say try this in the first instance and see if it resolves it. If not post back and the community can recommend some other things.

Yes turning off and resetting seems to solve the issue but it has become a regular fault. My concern is that one day it will not resolve it.

If it's happening regularly it could be a sign of component failure as definitely not normal behaviour. I would recommend you call Sky and claim on warranty if you are covered.
