Three restarts in half an hour to try watch some football. This service is a disgrace, Sky!

If it's any consolation, they seem to be rolling back the build version from QS036 to 035. Mine changed in the early hours of this morning and no issues so far. Hopefully yours will come soon.

Tonights fun...

A call with Sky, after they didn't call back as promised within 72 hours...

Told this time a manager would call me after 19:30, again no call back.

tonight I have had

using playstation - amazon prime advert.

after restarting, using playstation to watch a DVD, tv freezes with a loud zzzzzzz noise

reboot

watching tv - 5 minutes goes black, sound only.

This is after my replacement. The engineer earlier suggested getting a 2nd replacement...this has gone too far now, and im sick of  being fobbed off and told complaints or a manager will call me. Shocking customer 'service'

so cheesed off, I've cancelled my direct debit, not sure of the implications.  If they can't let me watch tv, I don't want to pay them for the 'privilige'.

So how do I use Glass to watch my apps (Prime, Apple, Netflix) like on a smart tv?

I have a Google TV dongle on mine. Amazon also makes little Android streamers called Fire Stick. If you don't like those two, there is also Roku and Apple. I chose Google's because it can also accept casting from phones.

@Nickpan

Definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you can't cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

When i spoke with sky on weds night, she said she would cancel my sky subscription but i would still need to pay the credit agreement for the TV as there was no issue with it.

Cancelling your direct debit is the worst thing you can do and will negatively affect your credit rating @Nickpan

My Gen 1 has rolled back to version 35, overnight, but still got the 'wait for your programme to load' error. Did my usual trick of going to Prime for a few seconds and then back into live programmes and all fine from there.

Always worth a restart after a firmware change - either via the settings or pulling the plug for a few minutes

Noticed mine has been rolled back to 035, but after 5 minutes of watching breakfast news this morning it went black again with sound 🙄

Hey @TimBL

could you restart or pull the plug for a few minutes and see if the issue returns ?
