Homescreen layout changed

Long time user of Sky Glass with a 65" gen 1.

Recently, the homescreen has changed and the section that displays apps and input devices is way down the page and you have to scroll right to the bottom.

When and why did this change?  Ive no interest in seeing lists of sky Atlantic shows I cant watch, or movies im not subscribed to.

Any ways to change it at all?

Thanks all!!

Sky Stream home layout change

What have sky done recently to the home screen,  just seems even more obnoxious.  The TV guide and playlist now so far down below all the ads and suggestions it takes forever to get to them, last week these were at the top of the page?

Is there a way to revert or customise this page it is really awful now.

@ddavman   I think that was the case over the weekend, which they sometimes do, but mine is back to normal now!

That being said I Amon build version QSO37.45.02p. What about you?

The Home screen will constantly change; that, unfortunately, is what Sky does. So sometimes rails that used to appear higher up the page get pushed further down the home screen if they add new rails.

Its normal, it happens all the time, as Sky will quite often add and remove rails, or create temp rails to push certain content. As they add rails they want to promote, they appear higher up the list, pushing the common ones like Apps and Continue Watching rail further down the page.

Annoying as it is, unfortunately thats the way it works.

Yes it's annoying.

What's more annoying is the idea that you can annoy your customers and that's all there is, just get used to it.

Re: Homescreen layout changed

Hi I'm also a long time owner of the 1gen sky glass

and I was really (blank) to see they have changed the Home Screen i don't watch sky or have any association with sky stuff I use the hdmi or YouTube so this is the biggest pain having to scroll down every time I want to change between stations!

hopefully they revert it back

Re: Sky Stream home layout change

The layout was "normal" as it had been since we subscribed back January as of this morning. Turned Sky Stream on tonight and the interface layout has changed.

Absolutely shocking new order to the layout - 20 "down" key pushes to get to the TV Guide.

(used to be two)

I don't use the Sky remote so therefore I don't use voice commands. I have a Logitech Harmony programmed to get to the TV Guide and Playlist with a specific set of button pushes. All that gone to pot now.

Rant over. Sky should allow ordering of "Sections".

@Millstar I also have a Gen1 Glass and would detest having to scroll through endless lines of tiles to go to where I want.

Thankfully, it's less of an issue for subscribers as they can either use a voice command to get to where they want to go, or scroll left on the currently playing tile on the Home screen to get to the most recently used services.

Re: Homescreen layout changed

My Sky stream is the same now, dreadful update pushing TV channels so far down the screen, they better fix this as it really is the last straw with this buggy system

That's not normal, my Home Screen certainly isn't like that. It will probably revert back to normal at some point @C-and-D

Re: Playlist gone, how do i get it back ?

They do sometimes reappear a few, or even several, hours later. So do nothing for the time being.
