Great tv network

Can anyone tell me you can record on great TV planner but when it comes to Great movie action or any movie channels with great movies the only recalled half of the film you don't get the full film on your planner you get around about 58 minutes of the film and I have a plate with great TV and I think that's the problem but can anyone tell me why

It's because 'Great' TV like to insert a daft 'news' break in the middle of movies that they show.

Sky Stream & Glass customers have been complaining about this since the service launched but AFAIK there doesn't seem to be a confirmed solution. You may need to add both parts of the movie to your playlist/watchlist/record list* from the TV Guide and see if it'll save both parts for viewing later.

As @Angel_Aka indicates, because splitting a movie into two separately listed EPG items around a (bogus) news 'programme' lets the channel run additional advertising without breaking Ofcom regulations.

Sky cannot unilaterally add something which isn't theirs.

The channel owners (Narrative Entertainment UK Limited) would need to arrange this, including contribution towards Sky support costs which they may be unwilling (or unable) to do.

It's also possible that Narrative simply aren't interested in developing a version of their player which will run on a Sky/Comcast operating system.

The Great Tv channels have suffered from this in the past and it does seem to be random on some film/channel.

I have suffered this in the past, a few months back.

But I have  recorded several  films across the Great Tv channels for the last few weeks and all have played out fine with the break. MInd that is on Sky OS 2.0, which could have made a difference for me.

I have in the past sent an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it and it does get resolved eventually.

Send them the actual film with its time and date, as that seems to help.
