GEN 2

Is anybody else dissatisfied or dissapointed with Gen 2 . Has 65" delivered few days ago, sound not as good as my 5.1 surround sound to be honest . No optical out capability,  yet it does have input for old terrestrial TV airiel?. Surround sound now useless.

Did you research the product before you ordered it? A full 5.1 surround sound system with separate speakers around your room will always give a better soundscape than a Sky Glass TV which has all its speakers built in to the enclosure. Glass can only really produce a pseudo Dolby Atmos effect, not true Dolby Atmos.

If you prefer the sound from your existing 5.1 system then why not return Glass (for a £25 fee) and buy a more fully featured and versatile smart TV instead? You can then order a Sky Stream puck to attach to it and get the same streamed Sky TV experience that you'd get on Glass but on your own TV and your own sound sytem.

I was bitterly disappointed by Glass too and returned it within a few days. I got a much better spec of OLED TV for a fraction more than Glass was going to cost. I haven't regretted that decision at all.

Because of the built-in speaker set.  Glass Air (with only stereo speakers) has optical-out.

The digital terrestrial television tuner is there as a fallback if the internet connection fails.

Re: GEN 2

Always research if you're in your 31 say cool of return it at a cost if £25.00.

The speakers will never be as good as a surround system, they are better than most standard built in speakers but do not stand up to the hype.

The TV reverts to a basic monitor without a Sky subscription so the aerial input is all you have or invest in an external source, firestick, apple tv etc.

To be fair the TV is sold in support and to work with the Sky ecosystem and it does that pretty well, some bugs and CW rail issues 🙄 but once tweaked the picture quality is pretty good for a QLED.

Re: GEN 2

@Rico75 sorry to make the obvious point, but I think  it is largely irrelevant whether other Glass users are dissatisfied or satisfied for that matter.
It is only you  who will be watching, listening and paying for the Glass, and so IMHO your opinion is the only one  which counts whether you keep it or return it during the 31 day window.

Enjoy your TV whatever you decide.
