Re: ITVX not Updating
Thanks I am aware of Autoplay functionality and have it turned off in all my apps across my various platforms. I've not contacted VR I'll let it ride until someone realises.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Hi @Gincap Agreed, there appears to be an issue with ITVX as I have a recently watched programme which is stuck in the CW rail despite running it through at least 5 times. Refreshing the apps hasn't helped. I really hope they bring in a delete function for CW at some point.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
I hear there is a review meeting pencilled in for the first Tuesday in March 2038 to discuss a deletion option for CW.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
It's absolutely ridiculous how often this happens and all you ever get told is refresh your apps and if that does t work reset your TV, none of it works so theres no point at all. They even said they thought it was my TV and sent me a new TV but I knew it wasnt the TV and didn't accept it as it happens constantly.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
At this point, they should just stop making it work temporarily with apps that are causing regular problems like ITVX and 5, until they can guarantee that it will work correctly.
I don't recall a time I've ever had an issue with an actual sky channel appearing on CW Rail, likewise Netflix never been a problem so of course keep these the way they are!
All that will happen is it will probably take about another 1-2 weeks for a fix, then happen again!
The original sky glass was released in 2021, and yet one of the biggest features complained about still does not work as intended and of course it's not a priority to Sky.
My Set up:
Sky Glass Gen 1 + Sky Ultimate TV + Sky Sports + Sky Cinema + Ad Skipping

@MartinV a lot of the complexity is because it's different 3rd party apps. If there is a general issue with the CW rail not working, it would likely be an issue on the Sky side directly, when it's one 3rd party app not working as expected thats usually because a change has been made on the 3rd party's side which has broken the way Sky would integrate with the service and scrape the data. As a result issues like this would take longer for Sky to notice and even for them to get fixed as it would almost certainly involve having to collaboratively work with the third party whose app it is

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Strange that it seems to happen most often with SkyOS....
In my experience of using them all, 'continue watching' (or equivalent) operates with a higher rate of reliability on Freely, Amazon's FireTV OS, and Apple's tvOS. It certainly keeps track of all the FTA channel content via iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and Five with rarely a blip in the months I've been using them.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Modern viewing relies on watchlists and continue watching it is a fundamental part of any system these days and this is a major weak spot with Sky. Sure complexities arise syncing across third party apps and issues are to be expected but daily there are problems with Playlists and CW and the work the user has to put in to keep the whole thing up to date is bonkers it would be easier with pen and paper.
Comcast Sky whoever is responsible need to seriously review what's going on and if SKY OS needs to be rewritten as the current format isn't working then.......
Apple TV have this sorted with an easy to use continue watching that updates pretty flawlessly and if there is a problem the user can clean it up at a press of a button. Plus Apple connects to pretty much all apps (not Netflix we know as they threw the baby out with the bath water) Mubi BFI Tubi Pluto to name some that are not Disney HBO BBC etc.
All you need is Sky 🤔
Sky "We can do better"
and whilst I'm propped up on my soap box get rid of that multi coloured halo around the Sky logo on the UI because it always looks washed out and blurred like watching a 70's CRT 🙄
