The television set, the subscription content, or both?
Typically the content will be on a two year minimum term, and Sky doesn't have to accept a request to exit that early.
The hardware can be cancelled without giving a reason in the first 30 days: after that you'd need to negotiate under consumer rights legislation. Note that it's not rented: the monthly loan repayment goes on until there's no outstanding balance.
