Can't access Disney plus or hbo plus

When I try to sign in to Disney plus or hbo plus. Everything is fine until when I have signed in to either account. They both take me to a page where I need to choose a subscription option but neither one is the free option from sky

Hi @Mike-c1  I had a similar issue with Disney.  I got around the problem by not selecting the option to use the email address used with my Sky account and instead I said I would use a different email.  When asked for the email address I actually entered the one that is actually associated with my Sky account and this worked. 

I have no idea why it worked but give it a try to see if it solves your issue.

Did that enable you to sign up for the Ad supported free versions from the off? I presume you were on a higher tier directly with either Disney or HBO?

Hi @Me134  To change to a higher tier you have to register first for the free tier with Ads. Once you are registered you can upgrade the tier by going to MySky > Your products > App subscriptions > Current. 

This procerdure applies to both Disney + and HBO Max.

Apologies, maybe I misunderstood so will have another try .

Did that enable you to sign up for the Ad supported free versions from the off? It allowed me to sign up to the with Ads tier.  To upgrade I had to follow the procedure outlined above.

I presume you were on a higher tier directly with either Disney or HBO? Not at the time I took up the free offer BUT I had been subscribed in the past to Disney + (Ad free).

I didn't have a subscription to Disney plus or HBO. I had Disney plus working but I have not signed into HBO max before. I had to do a reset of sky glass TV. After the reset I have had the issue not being able to sign in to either.
