I was on the phone to Sky today (Saturday August 8th) and had a bit of a meltdown with the customer service rep because he was asking me all the same questions as what was asked many times before by other Sky customer service reps, and he tried to fob me off with excuses about my broadband/wi fi signal being too weak, and that the tv was suffering with latency and buffering. This was totally untrue as I have never had problems with my wi fi signal, or signal strength being delivered to the tv which will stream at a minimum of 15mbps, my wi fi has always been between 51mbps and 55mbps, more than enough for the tv to operate sufficiently. He also told me that my router may be switching between 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz, causing the lag and latency issues, this is also untrue because the Sky Glass Gen 2 tv's work perfectly well on both frequencies. After all the shouting, screaming and arguing, I finally managed to arrange a replacement tv which is coming Monday 10th August, and the faulty tv going back to Sky. My current tv is only less than a year old, and the problem with the picture disappearing only started roughly one month ago, so the problem has nothing to do with my wi fi.
