Adaptor for Sky Glass

Hello, I am trying to find out if Sky as an adaptor that can attach my Wifi to my Sky glass tv.    I would like to move my Tv from its current position but the WiFi box does not have a long enough lead so i can move it.  

Can anyone give me any help?  Thanks in advance.

Is your Glass TV attached to your broadband router (WiFi box) with an ethernet cable? Have you tried connecting it using WiFi rather than ethernet? No adapter is needed. Sky Glass can connect to your broadband either wirelessly using a strong and stable WiFi connection from your router or via an ethernet cable.

@Eve67  Sky Glass can connect over WIFi is the WiFi signal is strong enough, I'm not sure what you mean by "adaptor" as that is a vague discription of almost anything?

Hello,  I am pretty new here and a complete novice.

What i am trying to explain is when my broadband box was being installed I was asked where I wanted it located because it was there it could not be moved.  I picked a point which was fine for me.   I have now decided I want to move my Sky glass Tv and realize that the wire thats attached to the broadband box to my tv is not long enough so I am wondering if there is such thing as an extention that can be attached to both so I can move the tv anywhere I choose?

@Eve67  You can buy varying lengths of ethernet cable Cat5e or better depending on how far from the hub the TV is going to be.

Yes the ethernet cable is currently attached.  So to my understanding I can unattach move my tv and it should still work?

Great,  where can I buy this would be directly from Sky?    I was trying to do the same but seemed to be going arround in circles hence why I decided to come to the community hub.

@Eve67  You can buy ethernet cable from most electrical retailers such as Currys or online from Amazon, make sure you buy the correct length, they are sold in lengths from 0.5 meters upwards.

Yes, if the WiFi signal coming from your broadband box is strong enough. 

All you'd need to do is disconnect the ethernet cable, move the Glass TV to wherever you want it to be, turn it on and in the settings menu turn WiFi on and connect to your WiFi network.
