subtitles

How do you get subtitles on a recorded programme? for example if I watch the programme live on Sky Witness subtitles work but if its recorded then unable to access subtitles. thank you

If you press the select button when subtitles are selected it should give the option to change it to ON. However its possible the show doesn't have subtitles available in which case the ON option wouldn't be available.

You need to press the 3 dots button (...) whilst you have loaded the programme, then navigate to the Subtitles box and switch it to on.

thank you Mark, I have previously tried this but the box just says "subtitles off" 

with no option to change to ON
