sky glass keeps stalling

Sky glass repeatedly failing on live programmes. Play back or catch up are fine, but messages vary between: "A technical fault with the programme" "please wait for your programme to load" or just a black screen.

Have you tried pulling the plug for 5 minutes ? This can cure some glitches

also can you carry out a speed test ? You can do this by loading the native Netflix app going to settings then check network

you will need at least 25mb to 30mb

Re: sky glass keeps stalling

Hi thanks for responding.

I have done the netflix speed test and am getting 130mb, but I am using a sim card router (no broadband or fibre here until Dec/Jan.

Have not tried the unplug .... will give that a whirl. I suspect it may be that as I am accessing broadband via ee mobile router that whilst the speed is ok it does vary ?

There have been issues noted previously with mobile based routers and connections ..... most notably 3 internet a year or so ago. That was resolved by changing the DNS settings in the router. I can't say if that is the same issue you have or it maybe a symptom of an unsteady connection

it maybe worth moving your router around to try and get the best possible reception for the sim and maybe give it an extended reboot to see if that helps
