@DH46  No and your contract spefically states it can only be used at your registered address in the UK & Ireland.  Sky have no service in SA, and even if they did they could not transfer the Glass account over.

Is this a planned permanent move or a temporary one?

Interestingly, back in 2022 Sky actually announced a partnership with MCG in South Africa to launch the Glass TV there.

I don't think it ever quite worked out though and I believe plans were abandoned.

UK Glass TV's cannot be used in other markets, even in Germany & Italy as there is no transfer of accounts, the TV set would be dead weight and not even worth taking to any other country, regardless if that country had Glass TV.

You can ship the television set hardware if you wish, but the subscription content service won't work (nor, I suspect, the digital terrestrial television tuner) so it would essentially be a rather inferior monitor.
