can i get sky glass cheaper

Hi, I want to know if I can get Sky Glass cheaper. Wanting over £600 in 2024 is mad considering the product is quite old now. I do want one, but I don't want to buy it secondhand on eBay.  and paying for is over 48 months is also mad

@Lennonhorbs  Yes, Glass TV is 2021 technology at 2024 prices which it ludicrous. They do not hold much rresidual value so have a look for a second hand Glass TV.  I ended up selling my 55 inch Glass TV for only £250 about 9 months ago (I was originally asking £350 but had no interest).  I moved to a new Samsung TV and soundbar with a stream puck and haven't looked back since.  It was a great decision.

@Lennonhorbs  Why not pay for a standard smart TV and just get a puck?

You'd get more for your money.

@Lennonhorbs  I would then look at a 4K set from any high street or online electrical retailer and see what you can get for the same money you'd spend on a Glass TV.

Sky do sell refurbished sets at a discount from the full, new price https://www.sky.com/help/articles/refurbished-sky-glass?irct=web-glass-home-refurb-gbr-glass-all-dis...

Unlike buying second hand, refurb sets come with the same 2 year warranty as new sets.

@Jporch316  Yes, the sound is by far the best feature of the Glass TV and although not earth shattering as the original advertising suggested I still found it pretty good..

When I replaced Glass with my Samsung TV as part of the "Black Friday" deal it came with an offer of a Samsung soundbar of my choice at half price so I paid an additional £250 for a £500 sound bar.  The soundbar is better than the sound on glass but in fairness to glass it's certainly not £500 better.
