Re: Xbox series x and ps5 on sky glass
@Domodemon Just be aware, there is a firmware issue affecting some Glass customers, with both generations of Glass, where the screen goes black but the sound continues. You might be lucky and not encounter it but if you do it's useful to know Sky are working on a fix, there is no timescale for one to be released but a restart and then going into the Amazon Prime app for a few seconds then exiting to the Sky home screen seems to sort it for the day. It's a workaround to the issue whilst we wait.
Fingers crossed though that you won't get it. Also, most Glass users feel that an ethernet cable connection is more stable than just using WiFi. If you do connect via ethernet make sure you turn off WiFi in the settings.

Re: Xbox series x and ps5 on sky glass
- Thanks I'll keep an eye out for it, it's shocking, was already worried about a the Allm/game mode issue, thankfully that is fixed but at the price they charge jeez what next. I know things have issues but the Allm issue was there in 2024 and only just been fixed. It's off-putting when ya reading these horror stories and their Facebook ads and comments don't help.

Re: Xbox series x and ps5 on sky glass
Unfortunately I have an eero router which only has one lan port and that's hooked up to a switch upstairs for the kids consoles, the router will be sat less than half a metre away so I'm hoping I'll be good, untill I figure out how to do it. The Xbox has 100% signal and I'm on 1gig up and down from so 🤞 Was looking at buying a new router with more lan ports soon. I have kids and a missus so buying a new TV outright is out of the question at minute 😂

@Domodemon That's what makes Glass a good option to some people. Not everyone has the cash at hand to buy a TV outright in this economic climate.
Despite the current issue with the black screen of doom, I still like having a Glass TV. It meets my needs but then I'm not a gamer.

Re: Xbox series x and ps5 on sky glass
Well I've had glass gen 2 a few days now, played around with settings and I think it's poor for the price. The blooming is bad in some circumstances. I'm returning it. Can't even tell the Dolby Atmos. Found myself always trying to adjust the picture. My old sharp TV had a better picture. How do I go about returning it.

@Domodemon Ring Sky and say you are exercising your right to cancel within the cooling off period.
There is a £25 collection fee to pay though and make sure you take pictures and video of the TV working and its condition in case of damage disputes upon its receipt by Sky.
