Just after some advice regarding an issue I'm having with my sky glass TV.
We've had glass for 3 years, no issues, I game on it daily via an Xbox series X via the hdmi port, outside of not having a game mode there's been no issues.
Yesterday I noticed a skip on my cursor/reticle every 5 seconds, it's almost like a pulse. It's very off-putting especially when I play shooters & it affects my aim.
I tried troubleshooting by a process of elimination. Reset router & internet, not that. Unplugged my hive, sky box, & landline, not that, no other things on my network so not interference. Tried wired, & WiFi, not that. Brought my series S downstairs & that skips too, took both consoles upstairs & no skipping, both work flawlessly, so not my consoles. Internet test shows 35 down 7 up 0 jitter & low ping. Different controllers tried, skill skips, but doesnt upstairs.
At this stage I think it's the TV, sky glass 65 inch, so I factory reset the TV. Whilst it's rebooting a quick Google search shows a guy on Reddit saying skyvpushed an update for gaming that puts you in a form of game mode whenever you use your console (I've no idea if this correct) & that changing viewing mode once your ingane stopped his 5 sec flickers. TV reboots, perfect again, no flickering, thank god.
This morning I get up, torn Xbox on, skipping again, every 5 secs. Tried to changing viewing mode, nope. Tried another factory reset, nope, not this time.
From what I'm aware I've tried every possible way to work out what's causing this & I'm dumbfounded.& I'm not very tech savvy & I'm not sure what to do now.
The actual TV, works fine when watching programmes btw.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is it happening to anyone else? I test by opening destiny 2 & on the character select screen just glide my cursor across the screen the see the pulse/skip
Thanks 👍

For anyone with this issue this is the fix.
On sky glass go to settings, connected devices, hdmi, turn OFF auto low latency game mode.

Have you tried it in a different hdmi socket on the glass
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M350 hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.

Something I did notice, you know when you're on normal TV & you flick thru the pre set modes, like auto, music, sport etc & the screen changes with each one to show the new mode, well it still does that. But on hdmi despite changing the mode the picture doesn't change. Maybe there's weight to this gaming mode thing I read on Reddit?

FIXED IT!!!
So in July they did indeed add a low latency game mode, only works on hdmi 2.1, & it's on by default. I am on hdmi 2.1, but the setting is located in connected devices, hdmi, auto low latency game mode. I turned that off, & the issue is gone. Thank god.
You set me on the right path
