World Superbikes removed from Discovery+

I find the 'recordings' on Sky Glass are very flakey when trying to record the Superbikes on Eurosport. They often fail to record or stop part way through. The solution used to be to watch on catch-up on Discovery+. Recently, though, these are no longer available unless you upgrade to TNT sports for another £30 per month. Any idea if something has gone wrong with Discovery+ or are they just trying to gouge as much cash as possible out of their customers? I think I'd rather go back to SkyQ when the recordings would work more reliability. Thanks for any suggestions. Tim.

The 'free' tier of Discovery+ isn't intended to carry most of their Sports content: in general Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. has a real problem with their proliferation of apps and offerings.

Thanks for the reply.

It was there recently and is available for free live on Eurosport. So, I was really wondering if this is a planned change or if there is something wrong with the app, config, etc.

Re: World Superbikes removed from Discovery+

Isn't it planned that Eurosport becomes part of TNT Sports at the end of the current contract to supply Eurosport to Sky as part of the Entertainment subscription?

At some point next year Eurosport was meant to be getting rebranded so WBX can have all their sporting brands under the TNT Sports banner.

That doesn't mean that they will be taking the Eurosport channels to premium sports channels, in fact it probably makes more sense to keep them as they are and use them for the less premium sporting content and as a marketing ploy to encourage the upselling of Discovery + (assuming Discovery + still exists and hasn't been merged into MAX) premium with the premium sports content. I believe in previous reports whilst WBD have mentioned that it would just be a rebranding of Eurosport and nothing else would change.

They'd only need one to do that, if they decide to keep a non-premium barking channel😉
