Which Ethernet Cable?

Intend on connecting my Sky Glass with an ethernat cable, but I am very confused about what type of ethernet cable to use.

To be honest I didnt even realise there were differnet ones, thought it would be simple, but it appears this is not the case.

I do have an ethernet port ready, just need the cable to connect the port to the tv.

Can anyone assist please?

Glass has a 100Mbs ethernet chipset because its maximum bandwidth demand is about 30Mbs.

This means Cat5e is entirely adequate, and there's no possible benefit from buying a higher specification cable.

In general, the cheap non-Cat rated products should be avoided as they use copper-clad aluminium rather than actual copper strands: they may well work for Glass but for that kind of cable length the cost saving is negligible.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
