You can't force a software update to a newer version
If the customer Sky Glass or Sky Stream puck account has not yet been selected for roll out of the new software version
Software updates are rolled out in batches
This is why some customers get updates before others
You just have to wait until your Sky Glass or Sky Stream Puck is selected to get new software

This process is more for those that need to get a fresh install of the already installed software.
Like on Apple macs where you can reinstall the OS to repair broken aspects of the OS.
I wished that help article on sky.com was clearer.

Mine has updated today but annoyingly I'm now seeing a lot of picture freezes on most channels. Sound continues but image pauses for a couple of seconds.
I'm also seeing image quality degrade and then regain quality, like it does when I first tune in.

Does anyone have any idea what's in update 14?
I have it - Cant see any differences except for the version number 14.005 and entertainment OS is now 1.1.
Everything else looks the same

My Stream Puck updated to QS014 over the last few days. Initially it refused to recognise the UHD tv but a quick mains power cycle seemed to resolve the issue. I must admit every time I switch it on I get a slight feeling of stress wondering if it's going to start having problems - but during several hours tonight there were only a couple of very brief buffering pauses. I still prefer the reliability and functionality of my Apple TV 4K but I'll keep persevering with the Stream for the time being. Things can only get better !!

Find out more@OneOfThePeople Sky do not issue change lists but I posted the changes which are known earlier in this thread see this post Most significant change is to allow hearing aid wearers to have both bluetooth audio and tV audio on the Glass TVs. There are likely to be changes to the rails but these usually only get switched on when all customer units are updattted.
As a general point it is wise to do a reboot whenever there is a firmware update by disconnecting mains power for 30 seconds

The latest PR from Sky state all Glass / Stream will get the update by 4th February.
Only a day or two to wait 🙂
Sky is rolling out new features to Entertainment OS, the Sky Glass and Sky Stream operating system that keeps getting even smarter, as Entertainment OS 1.1 lands this week.
Entertainment OS 1.1 will bring you Personalised Playlists, a new ’Play’ voice command to help you play what you want to watch even quicker, more ways to find content from your favourite actors and directors, as well as enhanced Bluetooth features. The updates will be available to all customers by 4 February.
Thanks,

That's good news @Tim+Adams . I am away from home at the moment and will therefore have received the update by the time I get back.
I am expecting many wondrous things when I next turn on my Sky Glass. I suspect I will be disappointed but as long as there is positive progress I will be happy 😀

Have to say that last few days Stream has been much more stable. No freezes/ stuttering that I can remember. Didn't know about the update til I checked yesterday so maybe it's fixed a good few issues - hopefully.
The whole system is much improved from where we were in November.
Really enjoy it now.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI took Glass back in July as I moved and was not able to connect to a communal dish due to lack of cables. At first I was disappointed but as you say it has significantly improved and TBH I would not now revert back to Sky Q if spare cable became available. As with anything there are improvements to be made for instance the continue watching rail and progress bars but Sky are getting there.
I mentioned in another post somewhere that I remember Sky Q having issues when it first came out.

I got the update late last night...it made the remote control really sluggish. Had to re pair the remote to the glass. Once I did that it was fine again
