Was I miss sold

Hiya.
we went from q to glass with the promise that you didn't need to record anything as it was always available. This morning we have tried to watch F1 qualifying from yesterday and for the life of me I can't find it anywhere. We do have sky sports package so it's not because we haven't paid.  How is a sky Channel not available to watch again if it was missed.

Have you added Formula 1 to your playlist.

If so, you would have got the full cloud recordings appear in your playlist.

So far this weekend all the Practice sessions and qualy cloud recordings have arrived on my Sky Stream fine.

In fact, the whole season so far for the current season and last years have worked without fail cloud recording all the weekends practice sessions, qualy, sprints and the three for the main race.

The above cloud recordings for F1 after a few weeks do revert to an on demand version.

That certainly wouldn't have been a great way of putting it...

NEVER trust a salesperson from ANY company. Always do your own research to make sure a product or service will do what you want it to do.

It does do what the user wants it to do. Same as Q the show needed to be added to the planner and hence cloud recorded.

Re: Was I miss sold

Is this how it works!? I had sky glass a couple of years ago and got rid as F1 was never there when I wanted to watch it after the race, sometimes it took days to become available. So if I were to add to my playlist, is it available immediately after the programme has finished?

Hi @rachfrost89

It has two ways of playback. When you add something to the playlist it will say either "X has been added to your playlist" or "X has been added to playlist and series set to record".

If it's the former playback is usually on-demand based via sky interface or broadcaster app, if it's the latter, it's cloud recorded and uses Sky cloud storage but playback is available immediately.

There was a big expansion of cloud recording ability last year.

Re: Was I miss sold

Thank you! Is this the same on sky glass and sky stream box thing?

Yes: Glass can be thought of as a Sky-branded television set with a Stream puck built-in.  Apart from display and audio-specific functionality it's the same platform.
