It's apparently there to facilitate external Conditional Access Module hardware which is applicable in some markets (although basically not used in the UK)

So what is your question as it's not clear from your post if you have one?

I'm unclear what your Glass TV has to do with the USB light strips on your other TVs?

The Glass TV is already yours. Sky's loan isn't a hire purchase agreement, it's a personal loan.

No, the set is your property from the moment you 'sign' the credit agreement (which is for an unsecured personal loan used to purchase it)
The monthly repayments are to reduce that loan balance: Glass is not distributed through hire purchase and you can stick anything you like to it, although ideally you'd wait until the cooling-off period has elapsed ; )

Again, strictly speaking you're making agreed scheduled monthly payments to reduce the balance of an interest-free loan which was used to purchase the television set outright. It's a subtle distinction, but an important one.

Re: Usb lights strips on sky glass tv
The Glass TV was yours from the moment you took receipt of it, whether you paid for it outright or repaid on installments.
The USB-C port on the back of the T v is there exclusively for the Sky Live camera and cannot be used for any other purpose, so won't be suited for triggering an external light system.
The HDMI ports are input only, HDMI2 can output audio for external decoding & amplification. None of the HDMI ports out put video so also cannot trigger external lighting in tandem with the video being displayed.
as far as I understand them, most external lighting systems sit between an external source device (Sky box, streaming box, games console etc) and the HDMI input on a TV.
