Hello all,
I've just been reading about Sky Glass Gen 2. We've had our Sky Glass for a couple of years, so I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade to Gen 2. Reading a post on this site, somebody else asked a question about upgrading, and they were directed to clicking a link in a pinned article. So I did the same.
This was the link - https://www.sky.com/glass/buy/personalise-sky-glass?irct=web-glass-switching-hero-gbr-glass-gen2
However, I was taken to a Sky Glass Gen 2 page that didn't mention anything about upgrading. It just seemed to be trying to offer me a Gen 2 with monthly costs and a up front fee. For example, the 55-inch Volcanic Grey with 48 months was offered at £19 and £20 upfront fee.
So, and please forgive me confusion here, is this the upgrade page? If yes, is the £19 an additional cost on top of the price I'm already paying for all of my Sky package, or does this just swap out my Sky Glass current payment for this new one?
Again, I'm sorry if this is plainly obvious to everyone reading this, but when it comes to handing over money, I really like to check before I do.

There is no 'upgrade' path so to speak. If you would like a Sky Glass gen2 then you need to purchase it outright or sign up for another new loan agreement to pay for it over the next 2 or 4 years at a monthly cost which varies depending on the size you choose.
You can't swap your gen1 for a gen2 - they are individual TV's which you need to pay for.
You can keep your gen 1 and add a gen 2 to use at the same time with the Whole Home subscription which shares the one streaming TV service between the two devices. Or you can sell your gen1, pay off anything you have left to pay off, and purchase a gen 2 to replace it.

There's no upgrade path from Gen 1 to Gen 2,. You would simply be buying a new Gen 2.

Thank you for this. Is it possible to find out how much is left to pay off on the Gen 1 online, or is it a ring up Sky TV for that information?

Confusion on the topic isn't helped by Sky having announced there was going to be an upgrade method 'just like with Sky Mobile' back when Glass was launched in October 2021, only for this never to arrive.
